INITAL IDEATION
Sketching new scoop forms to explore Porsche-inspired proportions, flowing surfaces, and rear-focused design details.




PROTOTYPING
My initial concept was a Cybertruck-inspired scoop with sharp, angular geometry. After realizing the design felt too literal, I pivoted mid-project toward the Porsche 992 for a more refined, sculpted, and fluid direction.


I printed over 35 prototypes to test the scoop’s form, grip, and overall feel. Through this process, I learned how even small millimeter changes could completely affect how the scoop sat in the hand.

Hand-Stitched Leather Grip
The handle uses custom hand-stitched leather to reference Porsche’s interior craftsmanship. It adds a premium feel while making the scoop more comfortable and controlled in the hand.

Rear-Inspired End Form
The back end was shaped to reflect the Porsche 992’s rear identity, especially its wide stance and horizontal tail light. This gave the scoop a stronger visual signature and made the design feel more connected to the car.
